Does compression reduce image quality?
▾Yes, lossy compression (JPG/WebP) reduces quality slightly to achieve smaller sizes. At 80% quality, the difference is barely visible. Use PNG output for lossless compression with no quality loss.

What quality setting should I use?

Why is my PNG not getting smaller?
▾PNG is lossless, so the quality slider has less effect. For maximum compression of PNGs, switch the output format to JPG or WebP — this will give a much smaller file size.
What is the “Max Width” option?
▾Max Width resizes the image proportionally before compressing. For example, selecting 1280px will scale down any image wider than 1280px, resulting in an even smaller file size.
